What is photo sharing, and is it right for you?

Car sharing gives you access to a car without having to own one yourself. You book a car for the period you need it, and pay for its use. For those who only need a car from time to time, this can be a convenient alternative to owning your own car.

What is image sharing?

Car-sharing is a system where several people use the same cars at different times. Instead of each person owning their own car, users book an available car when they need it.

How you book, pick up and pay for the car varies between the services. Some car-sharing services use an app and offer short bookings, while other solutions are better suited when you need the car for a whole day, a weekend or over a longer period.

Common to car sharing and car rental is that you get access to a car without having the responsibility of owning it.

What is the difference between photo sharing and car rental?

Car sharing is often associated with cars that are booked and unlocked through an app, usually for shorter trips. Traditional car rental involves booking a vehicle for an agreed period and picking it up and returning it according to the car rental provider's procedures.

Prices, availability, pickup location, and terms vary. Therefore, you should choose based on how long you need the car for, where you want to pick it up, and what you plan to use it for.

Rogaland Bilutleie offers traditional car rental. With us, you can choose from several types of vehicles and receive personalized help in finding a car that meets your needs.

How does car rental work at Rogaland Car Rental?

It should be easy to access the car when you need it:

1. Choose a vehicle. Find a car that has space for the passengers or cargo you need to bring along.
2. Choose the rental period. Please specify when you want to pick up and deliver the car.
3. Check the price and terms and conditions. See what the rent includes and what the terms and conditions are.
4. Book and pick up the car. It will be returned as agreed when the rental period is over.

You can order online or contact us if you need help.

How much does car sharing cost?

The price depends on which car you choose and how long you need it for. With us, you get an overview of the rental price before you book, so you can assess what suits your needs and budget.

When does car-sharing pay off over owning a car?

Car sharing or car rental can be an economical option if you drive little and manage without a car on a daily basis. You avoid owning a car that sits parked most of the time, and you avoid fixed ownership costs such as depreciation, insurance, and maintenance.

What is worth it depends on how often you need a car, how far you drive, and what the car would cost you to own.

Which car suits your needs?

One advantage of renting a car on demand is that you can choose the vehicle based on the task at hand. You don't need to own a large car all year round to have room for a few trips.

At Rogaland Car Rental you can choose from:

• Passenger car and electric car for everyday driving, visits and holiday trips.
• Van for moving, furniture pickup and transport of larger items.
• Motorhome for holidays and trips with transport and accommodation all in one package.
• Minibus when several people are going to travel together.
• Trucks for larger transport needs, with requirements for the correct driver's license.

The selection also gives companies the opportunity to hire additional vehicles when needed, for example for a job or during a busy period.
